Thanks for your patience as we firm up details for EGYFH’s Middle School Field Hockey team. There is a lot of season info below but this should cover almost everything you need to know! 

SEASON INFO 

• COACHING: A big thanks to Olivia Burch, Julie Roland and Meg Welsh for volunteering their time to coach this season. They will be covering all weekday games and practices. For Sunday night practices, we’re thrilled that the Middle School team will practice with some of EG’s Varsity Seniors. This week, Layla Cameron and Ellie Picard will lead practice. This is a great learning opportunity for our players!
• DATES/ATTENDANCE: Please look at all of the attached dates and let me know if there are any game and/or practice dates you know your player will miss. We know a lot of players have other sports/commitments but we ask that everyone makes their best effort to attend all practices in order to play in games. It also helps tremendously in planning practices and games with other schools to know who will or won’t be there.
• GAME UNIFORM: EGYFH coral pinny, black shorts, black tank/shirt under pinny on chilly days and white socks. Bring pinny to practices too!
• GAME STRUCTURE: Game structure will vary week to week. For game dates with two times listed, there will be one game that is predominantly 8th graders playing while the other is mainly 6th/7th graders playing; the ‘opposite’ grade will then sub in. For game dates with just one time listed, our hope is to rotate everyone in but this is where letting us know your availability is helpful since playing time might vary based on the format.
• RIDES TO/FROM GAMES: If you can drive other players to games, SIGN UP HERE. If your player needs a ride, look there and contact a driver ahead of time to confirm. There are no buses and it is up to you to arrange transportation for your child.
• PASTA DINNERS: These are always a fun time for the team to get together off the field. As dates get closer, we’ll ask for RSVPs so hosts can plan accordingly. Thanks to our hosts!
• Tues, 9/24 (5:30-7pm): Ashley Sullivan’s House
• Mon, 10/7 (4:30-6pm): Aubrey Plante’s House (this is immediately before the Senior Night Varsity Game vs NK at 6:30pm so the team can make posters, go to the game together, etc)
• Mon, 10/14 (5-6:30pm): Ella Granai’s House (this is the night before the Pink Out Games vs Moses Brown so the team can prep together too!)
• If you'd like to host or put together another team activity, let me know so we can get it on the schedule!

THIS WEEK’S SCHEDULE

• Sun, 9/15 (7:30-8:15pm): Team Meeting & Practice
• Mon, 9/16 (4pm and 4:45/5pm): Away Games vs Lincoln Middle School
• 8th Grade Game starts at 4pm, 6th/7th Grade Game starts at 4:45/5pm
• All players should arrive between 3:30-3:45pm. The Lincoln soccer team has the field until 3:45 so be ready to go at 3:45pm for warm up
• Games are at Lime Acres (not the actual Middle School)
• Players can leave their bags/sticks in the Cole locker room and then change to meet their rides during parent pick-up or in parking lot
• Wed, 9/18 (4:30pm): Home Game vs Barrington
• This is a home ‘triple header’ vs Barrington (JV plays at 5:15pm; Varsity plays at 6:30pm). We know this is Cole Open House Night too but we’ll be finished in plenty of time!
• For now, plan to arrive at 4pm but we'll send out a REMIND with exact time/location next week
